If you've ever been in a meeting with me, you've heard me ask it. I'm Sinem, a true believer that data tells the full story, an applied economist by profession, and someone who counts things for a living. I promise it's more fun than it sounds.

I've spent my career turning messy data into answers people can actually use: macroeconomic analysis, comprehensive industry growth analysis, labour market research, and a lot of charts that I'm unreasonably proud of.

Before all this, I completed a Master's in financial markets and economic growth, followed by a PhD in maritime investment modelling at the Australian Maritime College. Yes, ships. Yes, it was as fun as it sounds. I also lectured at the University of Tasmania, where I learned that if you can make economics interesting to a room of students at 9am, you can make it interesting to anyone. I've been testing that theory ever since, from conference stages to boardrooms, and so far it's holding up.

My favourite part of the job is the moment a room full of people stops nodding politely and starts asking real questions. That's when data turns into decisions, and it's why I love working directly with teams, not just handing over a report.

House of Research is where I bring all of that together. I lead the research myself, and I'm backed by people who love data and experienced estimators who are just as obsessed with getting the numbers right. Together, we do two things:

Research. Industry deep-dives, market trends and sector analysis for leaders who want to know where things are heading before everyone else does. I roll up my sleeves on every project, and the team helps us go deeper and faster, so your team spends its time on the right industries and its bids on the right work.

Strategic Pricing-Analytics. Our estimation team helps facility management contractors price their tenders with numbers that hold up. We build bids from real market pricing and first-principles models. Every figure has a source, every quote has a name, and there's no guesswork dressed up in a spreadsheet.
